Snowshoeing

Enjoy a 3 km loop snowshoeing through mixed forest of willows, spruce and a significant stand of poplars. You can enjoy a stop for a warmup fire or hotdog roast at the end of the main trail, before you turn onto the loop portion.

Note that this is unmarked yet clearly groomed and easy to follow. The Trail is found at the north end of Range Road 2111 (head east from Carrot River on Birch Road, watch for Range Road signs). Park at the parking space south of the Rifle Range. Stick to the groomed and open trails.

Don’t have snowshoes? No worries, we can set you up!

Stop in at the Town Office during office hours (Mon. – Fri. 9am – 5pm) and inquire about our snowshoe lending program.
