Carrot River Outdoors Club (CROC) - Do you LOVE the outdoors? Be sure to check out what CROC has been up to! They boast a state of the art rifle range, an outdoor archery range (with a lending program) and a fully stocked trout pond!!! Check in at the Carrot River Town Office for info.


Guided Hunting Outfitters - Carrot River is home to many quality guiding outfitters. These outfitters are at the top in their industry with excellent locations and superb accommodations. Check them out even if hunting is not your thing, they offer alternative services as well!

Snowmobiling in Saskatchewan's OUTBACK is where it is at!  With an average snowfall of 40+ inches, we have pristine snow conditions for snowmobiling. You can stick to the trails, enjoying well-groomed and signed trails with warm-up shelters and connections from Carrot River to other communities. Feeling a little more adventurous? Get off the beaten path and try a more wilderness excursion to the Wildcat Hill Provincial Park. This is a remote location full of scenery and wildlife! Nipawin School of Dance - Dance lessons (tap, ballet, lyrical, modern, pointe, jazz, hip-hop, acro) are offered in Carrot River!

Carrot River Skating Club - Do you want your child to experience ice skating? The Carrot River Skating Club offers skating levels that you can register your child in, giving them the opportunity to learn to skate!


Carrot River Light Horse 4H - If you have ever dreamed of riding a horse, this is the place to learn.  Whether you own a horse or not, you will not be turned away!

Carrot River Public Library - Come on down to the Library and choose your favourite book!

Summer Kid City Program (July/August) - This is the PERFECT opportunity for your kids to make new friends and participate in super fun activities throughout the summer!

Pasquia Snow Goers - This club is a MUST for all of you snowmobiling fanatics!  The Outback has spectacular snowmobile trails for you to ride. Did you know that we were voted Saskatchewan's Sled Town 


Crokicurl - A truly Canadian, winter activity for the whole family! People of all ages and abilities can enjoy this outdoor activity, make the game as competitive or as long/short as you (or the weather) would like. Located on Main Street, beside the Post Office, you will find all equipment provided free of charge. Birch Road Gallery Art Lessons - If you're looking to improve your artistic talents, Evelyn Letendre is your go-to person! Her love and passion for art is radiating.

Paint & Sip/Mixed Media Classes - Terri Freeborn offers classes that are perfect for get together's with family, friends, or staff! If you are looking for a creative way to make your event unique, give Terri a shout!

Shockwave Band - There really is nothing better than a local band with endless amounts of talent!  Be sure to check out Shockwave when you get the chance because you will not be disappointed!

Creative Kids - Support Program - This program gives children the opportunity to learn about unique types of art while providing support.  This is a fun, confidence boosting program that children are sure to enjoy!

Carrot River Minor Hockey - Check out the Minor Hockey Association to find out information on how to register your child.

Carrot River Minor Ball - Carrot River has ball teams for all ages.  Be sure to watch out for registration to get your child involved!

Carrot River Rec Board Sports - Whether it's soccer, Co-Ed volleyball, skating, or taking fitness classes, Carrot River Rec Board has you covered! Whatever it is that you want to play, chances are we have it here in The Outback!

Senior Rec. Hockey  - There isn't an age limit on hockey in the Outback!  Come join the Rangers or the Oldtimers!

Carrot River Curling Club - Become a member of the Curling Club and share your love for the game with other passionate people!

Carrot River Gymnastics - This club teaches kids what gymnastics is all about while improving flexibility and athleticism.  It is a great way for children to have fun and be active!  Watch for registration dates!

Shell's Fitness - Are you in need of deep relaxation? Or maybe an intense workout? Not to worry, Shelly has you covered! Be sure to give her a call!

Outback Spinshack - Donna Lee offers professional Spin Classes at the New Gym on Main location!  Be prepared for an overload of fun and a ton of sweat! 

Carrot River Outback Thunder Prairie Junior B Hockey - Everyone loves a hockey game! Help us pack the rink and cheer on the Carrot River Outback Thunder!


The New Gym on Main Street - The gym is a perfect place to go for a workout! There are also some local residents that offer specific classes located here that you may be interested in.

Special Events:

Winter Finale - The Winter Finale happens on Main Street during the third weekend in March! Some activities include a pancake breakfast, chainsaw competition, archery, wiener roast, and street hockey. Come on out for some exciting winter fun!

CROC Wildlife Supper - This wonderful event takes place annually in April.  Bring your family out to enjoy an evening filled with auctions, activities, presentations, and a delicious meal.  If you haven't tried very many kinds of meat, this is the place to be when the event rolls around.  

Family Festival - The Family Festival occurs annually on Father's Day weekend making it the PERFECT place to bring your family.  There are many activities such as a themed parade, Festival Queen Crowning, live entertainment, chicken wing tasting, bouncy castles, climbing wall, etc.! 

Farmers Market - Come out to the Town Square on Fridays from 10:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. and check out what is being sold!  Gloria's Food Truck also attends this event and sells delicious food!

Outdoor Movie Night - Bring your blankets and enjoy a movie at the Town Square!

Flavours of the Outback - This event takes place annually on the last Thursday of August.  Come on out and try foods from all of the vendors while listening to performances on the stage at the Community Square!

Cruise Night - Come join us on Main Street and show off your wheels!

Carrot River Valley Studio Trail - The Outback wouldn't be what it is today if it wasn't for all of these incredibly talented people.  We highly recommend checking them out!


Friday Night Lights Football - Every September the Carrot River Wildcats host a Friday Night Lights football game.  This game isn't just another football game, it is a game that is fun for the team to play and the fans to watch, but above all, all the proceeds go towards cancer research.  This is an event that you will want to mark on your calendar! Go Wildcats Go!

Christmas on Main - This event takes place on the last Wednesday of November.  All the stores will be open late for you to get all your Christmas shopping done! The Light Horse 4H Club provides hot chocolate at the Town Square for when you need to warm up!

Carrot River Minor Hockey Radio Auction - This Auction takes place annually in early November. Tune in to CJVR FM 99.7 in Carrot River or stop over at the Carrot River Arena to place a bid on some of the many items or to grab a drink and enjoy the food!

Minor Hockey Day - Head on over to the Carrot River Arena to take in this annual event that happens every second Saturday in December.  Watch a day FULL of Carrot River Hockey starting with the Initiation team and ending with the Midget team.  Grab a hot chocolate and settle in because you've got 6 hockey games to watch! Go Loggers Go!

Winter Wonderland on Ice - Come join us at the Carrot River Arena and skate through the Winter Wonderland!  This event takes place annually during the Christmas Holiday and is in memory of Carter Stevenson.

Tri-Unity Challenge- Come join us at Pasquia Park and participate in the Tri-Unity Challenge.  Walk or run 3KM, 5KM, 10KM, 21KM or take part in a relay team! Everybody is a winner!

Outback KCRA Rodeo - Come on down to the sports grounds and enjoy the two-day rodeo!
