Our local outdoors club, Carrot River Outdoors Club (or CROC as we say) offers a fabulous rifle range and newly developed archery range 5 minutes from town.
You will require a SK. Wildlife Federation membership; these are minimal cost and available at the Carrot River Town Office. If you are a firearm enthusiast, have all of your appropriate training and certification you can enjoy target practice at this state of the art rifle range that includes clay shooting and gongs.
The outdoor archery range features a variety of galleries for those with their own equipment and includes one elevated shooting lane. Both are located at the Newstead Memorial Gun Range, north off Grid 690, down Range Road 2111. Please be sure to read the signs posted at each location and abide by the regulations.
